Showing 5 reviews Rating:5 Had a great stay at Mackworth House Farm. We were made to feel very welcome by Peter who was a great host. We stayed in the emerald room which had everything we needed along with great views. We would not hesitate to recommend and will stay again if in the area.

0 You have already voted! Rating:5 This place is beautiful – well decorated, extremely clean, and the host was very friendly and accommodating. My husband and I were looking for a last minute place to stay at 10pm at night as we’re pretty spontaneous when we road trip (lol) and every hotel we called was fully booked. When we called Mackworth House they luckily had the top floor suite still available! We were so pleasantly surprised with how clean and comfortable everything was, and especially with the kindness of the host Peter. He was very warm and welcoming despite us coming so last minute and went above and beyond to make sure we had all we needed for our short stay! Do yourself a favor and book a long stay here – we wish we would have planned ahead and done so 🙂

We stayed here to go to a wedding at The Farmhouse / The Folly. It was such a great location – just a 5 minute walk up the road.
Thanks for a lovely stay here, we will be back if ever in the area again!

We received very clear directions including a photograph of the house at night time.
Peter was extremely helpful and always on hand but never intrusive.
I’d recommend the suite, mainly because of the cosy sitting area and having a fridge was useful too.
We got a good night’s sleep in a very comfortable bed in quiet rural surroundings.
All this at a price less than most budget hotels, thoroughly recommend it.
