0 You have already voted! Rating:5 We have been going to Moorfield Farm since 2019. We go at least three times a year as we love it so much. The peace and quiet is so good for the soul. The owners, Lesley and Adrian are a great couple, they run the site perfectly. It’s a bonus that it’s adult only and so reasonably priced.

There are two great pubs that we use nearby,the carpenters arms at dale abbey
and the Stanhope arms at Stanton by dale,both of which are within walking distance.
Also nearby is the excellent cowshed cafe which we can highly recommend.

We came across this site only this year, it is one of those sites you wish you had found sooner! That being said we have visited 5+ times this year as it is close to home for a weekend break.
The site owners are very welcoming nothing is too much trouble and if not around always answer calls. It is a lovely, clean and well kept site with 2 secure fields to let your dog have a run. There is plenty of space between pitches a couple of which are hard standing (some sloping so you might need chocks).
There is a local cafe within a short 10 min walk – dogs very welcome (The Cow Shed) which is a must for breakfast or lunch. 3 pubs close by one of which is a great 30 mins walk. There are some lovely walks from the site or within a short drive and I highly recommend a visit to Locko Park which is a privately owned country house but the grounds are lovely with an Artisan Ice cream parlour just up...

It is our favourite go to site, so peaceful and relaxing, so much so that we usually arrive on a Thursday evening and the wife commutes to work on the Friday! I have to stop and look after the caravan with our dog – someone has to do it
The site owners Lesley and Adrian are extremely friendly and always go that extra mile for you, so obliging.
If we had to score the site, then it’s full marks 10 out of 10.

We have a motorhome and once we ran out of food as we had extended our stay and Lesley took me to the shop for supplies, what a kind thing to do.
There are three pubs within walking distance which is great, we have our lab with us so do plenty walking. The only reason we haven’t put a review up before is because we want to keep this fabulous little site to ourselves .
We are looking forward to our next stay here in September and also booked in near Christmas.
