Full disclosure here, I’m one of their volunteers. We meet every Thursday for four hours of volunteering at any point along the Erewash Canal. It’s hard work at times, but all and any contributions are warmly welcomed. All of our volunteers are fabulous people and we all go home with a sense of satisfaction and achievement; more to the point though this is a great way to feel part of the community.
As for Pastures Lock…well, it’s a canal lock. It is what it is and does what it does. But thanks to the CRT it does it pretty damn well.
