I held a birthday party here after being let down by several local venues and I am so pleased I did.
The staff – Grace, Bernard and Anthony – were all incredibly friendly, accommodating and a pleasure to do business with.
I was given a space in the venue which was perfect for what I needed. Everyone who attended had a great time and we got to watch the boxing in comparative peace.
The food package not only tasted great but was unbelievable value.
I would happily have another party here and would recommend it as a venue

I really liked that the Optimist is quite spacious. Enjoyed the ambience and the meal and that it’s smack in the middle of Northampton so quite easy to get to!

Perfect place to come for a bite to eat and a chilled drink. Karaoke is brilliant fun as well. Pool tables add to the atmosphere. Only thing missing is a DARTS BOARD! I’d be in everyday and I’m sure so many other people would be. Created to Archie he’s a fantastic employee!

Food was amazing, it was quiet when we went but still top service. My steak was cooked just how I wanted and not served on a skillet so didn’t continue cooking either. Will definitely be coming again to try more of the menu

Had an amazing staff party here on Friday! The manager Bernard who helped me organise it and then him and grace who looked after us on the night were a dream! Would definitely recommend for group bookings and the BBQ chicken pizza is a MUST TRY!!!!
Toilets were well kept and our designated area was perfect. Fast service at the bar and good value for drinks and food.
