Showing 5 reviews Rating:5 Come here for a staff afternoon tea/lunch! What a treat! our whole team thoroughly enjoyed this quirky and beautiful cafe. Service and food was great with amazing attention to detail. The tiddley teapots are a fantastic idea and the hot drinks were spot on! It felt like we all fell down the rabbit hole with Alice for the afternoon – We will all individually be back again for sure!

0 You have already voted! Rating:5 Absolutely lovely place for an afternoon tea. From the moment you walk in, your eyes go into overdrive as you try to focus on all the wonderful decorations that cover the walls and ceilings.

0 You have already voted! Rating:5 Great quirky place to have some tea and cake. There is a gentleman’s room upstairs and a Alice in Wonderland style decorated room downstairs. The staff is very friendly.

The unique blend of 19th-century gothic-industrial steam-powered machinery and a touch of Phileas Fogg’s spirit creates an unforgettable atmosphere. Lord and Lady Muck have truly outdone themselves with this establishment.

Eccentric is the right name for this place, what an eclectic decor, but its so cool at the same time, the prices are very good and a lot to choose from on the menu, they even do home made cheesecake fresh every day with everything from a full english to afternoon tea. You really need to come here.

The food is presented on bone China, it’s well prepared and tastes fantastic. The third course is homemade cheesecake, I wasn’t sure I was going to like it but oh my, it left me feeling it was the best I’d ever tasted.
Don’t go in expecting a large seating area, it’s small and cosy, my only negative would be I tried to initially book online but after no reply for three days I called.
Three afternoon teas, one a vegetarian option which arrived on its own board, a very nice touch.
We attended as a birthday treat for our daughter, we ordered a home made cake and again, it was one of the best we’d tasted, we will definitely visit again.

The decor is impressive, a perfect mix of historic and whimsical elements. The staff is friendly, and the cleanliness of the place is commendable. I’m eagerly looking forward to returning for their delightful cocktails.
