Showing 5 reviews Rating:5 Another excellent experience from Skears. Instant notifications regarding order and tracking. Camera used but in excellent condition as described. Packing was safe and secure. Very pleased with the customer service – as they called to update of a possible change in delivery days, then the DPD man turned up late so all good – it shows they care about the customers expectations. Skears has now been added to my new favourites due to their all round excellent service.

Rating:5 Bought an Olympus OM1N on the web site which was advertised as excellent condition with case, strap and lens cap. ‘Excellent’ was a bit of an understatement and exceeded my expectations. Was also really pleased that it came with a battery as well as a lens filter. Everything was delivered on the requested date and very well packaged. Couldn’t fault anything so hope the camera functions as well as it looks. I’m fairly new to film photography and this was the first time I’ve dealt with Skears and I somehow don’t think it will be the last. Thanks for a brilliant experience.

0 You have already voted! Rating:3 I’ve used Skears for years without problem but recently when trying to upgrade a lens the lady behind the offers me a very low price on a trade in.

0 You have already voted! Rating:5 Absolutely amazing service took my lens in there because it wasn’t working properly they found the fault fix the fault with only a few days.. It takes me an hour to drive to the shop, but I would definitely use them again. No problem at all..

It is hard nowadays to find a business who treats customers with honesty and respect. I had a shutter problem with my D750 and Skears gave me a very reasonable quote, much cheaper than online retailers. There is absolutely no substitute to actually talking face to face with a knowledgeable person.
I also got my other cameras and lenses cleaned and calibrated. There is a big problem with Nikon and their parts at present and they kept me informed.
After repair there was a problem with the AF and this time they repaired and sent it free of cost as it was within warranty period.
I dealt with Jeremy mostly who was very helpful but other staff were also knowledgeable and helpful.
Highly recommended for any photography related queries.

All of the second hand lenses that I was looking at in store were way overpriced and I couldn’t get my head around the low ball offer from her. It was my first time dealing with her and over the years the rest of the team have been knowledgeable and offered reasonable trade in prices. I left the store feeling a little hard done by and feel that if I had spoken with another member of staff I may of got a more reasonable offer. Skears prices though are very high compared to other companies out there. Hence the 3 star review.
