Showing 5 reviews Rating:1 Awful gym, very unfurnished, workouts machines that are from 1980, a nice size room for spinning class that is always empty and a very small free weight area (next to spinning room) always packed and, again, unfurnished. Free from mirrors which is crazy for a gym. Staff… useless. Very disappointed!

0 You have already voted! Rating:4 Lots of Cardio machines if you want to lose weight but only 1 bench cage and 1 squat cage and 2 smith machine, would be nice to see more but all around its good. Not many people at time of writing but could be worse in January with all new years res and that.

Rating:1 The facilities are great and the cleaner there is the most nicest and hard working person I’ve ever met, yet the managers were incredibly disrespectful towards the cleaner upon what myself and others would say to be a lie as they suggested that the female cleaner was abusive towards member and staff despite the female cleaner being an incredible woman, as well as saying that she makes the rooms 100% worse than before she gets there however that female cleaner has been the foundation of the interior appearance being so clean and even when a member over heard the horrible conversation that the managers had with the cleaners and even said that it was a lie and that the female cleaner is amazing in both attitude and cleaning, the managers simply turned around and said “its non of your business” when I’d argue that it is the members business as its apparently the members complaints upon the fantastic female cleaner that supposedly lead them to disrespect the cleaner ...

After having my swim, I am faced with balls of hair, in every drain, Which you literally have to kick out of the way. It seems to be getting worse every time I go, standards have definitely slipped! I don’t usually see the cleaner as I go early, but I did see an Africa lady once and I never saw anyone move so slow she spent a good 10 minutes on her backside looking at her phone. Not sure if they have changed staff but something really needs to be done. Surely it can’t be that hard to find an efficient cleaner prepared to work a few hours a day. And the toilets, I don’t think I’ve ever been there once when they haven’t been blocked, they seem to have a very poor flush! There always seems to be problems with plumbing! There is only usually one hairdryer working, General maintenance is very slow. There is a permanent tide mark around the edge of the pool but the biggest problem is no air conditioning in the ladies changing room....

Decent sized pool and unlike some other local pools the temperature is fairly stable (a few others have frequent heating issues!). The pool could use more frequent cleaning but that’s the bottom and not really an issue. The facilities are clean and well kept.
Loses a star as paying 60p to park every time adds up. I know its in a hospital but if you’re a paying user, it feels a little much, especially if you do not live locally enough to just walk in (two hour walk).
