Rating:4 A lovely local museum with a very interesting collection of items and exhibits! There are a few general displays about Northampton in the past, featuring plenty of local information and memorabilia, but the real gems are the more specialist exhibitions: a detailed interactive exhibit about the beautiful wood panelling that adorns one of the downstairs rooms, and an extensive display on Northampton’s military history! The latter will certainly provide you with some gems of local information. As well as that, the building is impressive to simply walk around – the grand staircase is not to be sniffed at! Worth a quick visit if you are in the area or want to find out more about the town’s past.

Rating:5 Beautiful house and park with wonderful exhibits in the house for all ages. It’s free to tour the house, so no need to buy tickets.

Rating:5 Fantastic little free museum in a lovely setting. Only real came to see the history of the Northamptonshire Yeomanry as my Grandad served with them during the war. Parking is on the street but no restrictions. Free to enter. The part on the Yeomanry was expansive and detailed. They also had a part of the house and the park which was interesting too. No shop or cafe but toilets

Don’t miss the lakes, ponds and water tower further into the park.
Refresh in the cafe – a little pricey but quality food and drink.
