Rating:3 We visited the cafe there this afternoon had a coffee and scone cream and jam and was very disappointed the scone arrived chilled and very dry so much so that was unable to spread the cream and jam on as you would normally it just crumbled.. such a shame as first impressions count and as such will not be going back.. there are other places to get refreshments

Rating:5 Lovely trip along the canal and back. Only 25 minutes but enjoyable. Followed by a good 6 and a half mile circular walk. Visited the museum. Very nice day out

Rating:5 Small but interesting museum on middle and top floors, accessed via staircase. Cafe and gift shop on ground floor. Worth visiting just for the canal boat ride – good fun for kids, especially going into the dark tunnel. All in all, a pleasant venue to spend a couple of hours. (There are also signposted walks if you’re an active type.) Museum is free. Car park and boat ride modestly priced. Satnav is iffy; follow the standard “brown” tourist road signs.

Thanks for submitting your review!Don
We however got to see boats moving through the locks which was very interesting.
There was also information about how the locks operate.
Cafes and a restaurant are nearby.
