0 You have already voted! Rating:2 Beware the ‘free parking’ at weekends – sometimes it costs you £25! The signs all say in large text that parking is free for 2hrs but if you look more closely it says you need to press a button at the machine to get a pay and display ticket.

0 You have already voted! Rating:1 One machine was broken for a week. Today I went to pay for my parking and neither machine would accept my card. I rang the number and the guy said I would have to wait for an engineer and wouldn’t take payment over the phone. I asked if I could park and pay later and he said if I did that I would get a ticket, even though it was literally impossible for me at that moment to pay. I had to find somewhere else to park and was late to my appointment. If you’re going to charge for parking you have to make it convenient to do so. I’m done with this car park. Absolute joke.

Hopefully this helps others from making the same mistake as me! The council don’t care if you have evidence about how long you parked, if you don’t display the ticket you are stuffed.

Small. But if you want to vivist the park or the university, this is a good one to go to.
