Showing 5 reviews Rating:5 My review is more about the Longthorne exhibit at the 2024 World Sporting Clays Championship, which was at M&M Sporting Clays in Salem, NJ USA this past week. Your exhibit was excellent! Your representatives, Jacob and Jimmy, were easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and had an infectious enthusiasm about your guns. I love the quality and innovation, the gorgeous looks and the trigger is phenomenal. My buddy and I are coming to Northampton soon! Be ready for us!. Thank you Longthorne for your US representatives, and I hope to see Jacob and Jimmy soon. Great Job Longthorne!

Rating:5 After many years of less than personal service from famous foreign gun makers I took delivery in 1998 of a pair of side lock o/u 20b premium grade guns and have used them extensively every season since and must say that I have been delighted. Apart from the annual service they have not been back to the maker.

The decision to entrust the creation of my next gun, was an easy one.

Rating:5 When I first decided that I would make an investment into an English made shotgun as a keep sake of my years in England for when I returned the USA, I toured the usual well known high end shotgun manufactures. Longthorne were the only company to invite me to a demo round of clays to try their guns. Jim, not only brought one, he brought four different models to meet me at a clay ground halfway between his shop and my home. As soon as I pulled the first trigger I was hooked. The way the Longthorne shotguns handle and their low recoil due to the design lead me to ordering not just a trigger plate for everyday clay bashing, but a custom 4-barrel set covering all my game shooting requirements. I have used my Longthorne on walked up days in both UK and Norway (chasing Capercaillie) and big driven days. I haven’t found anything else I’d prefer to shoot. During this time it has provided much pleasure when out in the field and has drawn much admiration from fellow guns. It is by far my favourite gun in the cabinet. Whatever minor problems I have had they have been quickly attended to my Elaine & James. My only regret…I wish I had purchased a pair !

I have been a loyal owner of Perazzi’s since 1979, and until now have not found another gun with ther right combination of balance, trigger pulls, reliability and finesse. My Longthorne Valliant has all of this and more. The experience of building the gun with Jim, was a great mix of input, understanding my needs and expert advice. The end result is a masterpiece and an absolute delight to shoot. Thank you so much.
