A really lovely place to walk around full of interesting artefacts.
Laid out well, allowing you to navigate easily through different periods of time. It highlights the changes that occurred to Abingdon and the important people that made it’s history.
Up the stairs and you come to the dinosaur displays. Lots of interesting information on Aldbourne very early history and then to top it off you can walk to the top for amazing views across the country.
    Really interesting place to visit.

If you have any connection to Abingdon this is worth an hour or two to see a comprehensive history of one of the oldest towns in England. Pay the £2 and get up on the roof if you can – you’ll get a different perspective on the town and especially its brewing past.

A fantastic museum which packs so much into a small space. The locally-found Stone Age tools were the draw for me, but the museum actually covers the history of the Abingdon area from the dawn of time to the 21st century, with some really impressive exhibits. Amazing views from the roof too!

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this experience, but it was very educational. It was fascinating to see some objects almost 2,000 years old. Maybe more. Very well displayed and explained. Thoroughly enjoyable experience. There is a guided tower experience that costs very little for such a rare opportunity to enjoy long ranging views of Abingdon and the surrounding area. Excellent experience. ✨️

Free entry. The museum is on 3 levels with a roof terrace giving panoramic views over Abingdon. Helpful staff on hand. There are toilets here and a small gift shop. The exhibits are mostly local artefacts spanning Neolithic to modern finds. Good place to bring the kids – will keep them interested for about 30 mins. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Abingdon.

Impromptu visit whilst stopping in the area. Lovely market town, with amazing views and atmosphere that you just don’t see very often in town centres anymore.

The museum is a great place to visit to learn more about the area and it’s rich history.

One extra to do is the rooftop, where the views are amazing. Staff were friendly and really informative.
