It’s fab here! So many hands on science experiments and games, and a really cool water feature outside and lovely nature reserve. We love this place, the kids are kept busy and happy, and there’s a cafe!

Our family visit to the Oxford Science Centre was an absolute blast! This place is a treasure trove of hands-on learning and excitement for all ages. The interactive exhibits, engaging demonstrations, and diverse range of scientific experiments made learning incredibly fun and accessible. Our daughter was enthralled by the various activities and interactive displays, sparking her curiosity and love for science. The staff’s enthusiasm and knowledge added another layer of enjoyment, making the experience both educational and entertaining. Whether it was exploring the wonders of physics, chemistry, or biology, there was something captivating for everyone. A fantastic place for families to bond, learn, and have a blast together!

Children aged 8 months, 8, 10 and 12 years old. We arrived at 10am and checked in. We received a map and activity tondo in the woods. We headed straight outdoors and the children were drawn to the water lab. They spent 1.5 hours there and even then I had to oull them away. The woodlands are not buggy friendly but we managed somehow. We has lunch on the covered benches outside as inside was very busy. The toilets were very clean and baby facilities were good too. A breastfeeding corner/space would make it amazing.

The exploration zone was amazing for both adults and children. I wonder how long it would be until the children would say they are bored or finished as even after 2 hours the children were still exploring. They went round once quickly and then went a.few more times looking and understand ding in detail. The magnetic poles were one of my children’s favourite but they said they needed to wait a long time to play with it.

Overall, I was very happy with the day out. The ki...

Kids really enjoy going here. There is an indoor centre and and outdoor woodland to explore. During the warmer months there is also a water ‘lab’ which allows families to enjoy experimenting with basic physics using water based play. Kids don’t even realise they are learning about Science when they come – which makes it all the more fun.

Indoors and water lab area are wheelchair accessible and there is an indoor and outdoor wheelchair accessible toilet with a changing space in the outdoor one.

What a magnificent place to spend a day of your weekend! We have booked a Family Day in the Centre. You can do this online throught their website and make a family visit during Saturdays. It is a very busy place so you need to keep checking for available places weeks in advance.

Activities: During the Family Day the kids can spend two hours in the exploration area and follow a series of STEM activities. The ticket also includes all day access to the outdoor Wet Lab and to the wooland.

Place is also ideal for hicking with 3 routes available (400m, 700m and 1km). Kids used their binoculars, their magnifying glass and a compass to disover the hidden treasures of the forest. Equipment ( ️, , , ) is provided for free by the receptionist upon providing an ID card!

‍♀️Staff and beekeepers volunteers were great, explained everything nicely to the kids and very patient!

Parking: There is free parking in front of the main buildings for free for the family visits!

    Extra tip: D...
