Showing 5 reviews Rating:5 What can be said about this Hickory’s? Just brilliant, sadly none close to Edinburgh. We travelled down last week for a conference and went Thursday and Friday night without booking a table. We were seated both times and service was immense. First night shared the platter, didn’t need to eat again until lunch the next day. Friday night had the ‘Go big or Go home’ burger! Wow!! Will definitely be trying a Hickory’s if we get the chance again. Thank you to the staff on both nights.

0 You have already voted! Rating:4 I had a fantastic experience at Hickory’s Burton Green! The restaurant has a vibrant atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was the real star of the show – I had perfectly smoked BBQ with delicious sides. Overall, a great place to go for delicious food and a fun dining experience.

0 You have already voted! Rating:5 We had an incredible meal here! The complimentary popcorn to start was lovely, and the chocolate milkshake was also really good. The brisket was great and was made even better by the sauce. The full rack of maple baby ribs were nice and tender, but could definitely have done with a sauce. The fries and coleslaw that came with them were both nice too. The highlight was definitely the chicken mac and cheese, with the maple syrup adding a special something to the dish, while the fried chicken was so crisp and soft that it was definitely the best thing there, and the best fried chicken I’ve had for a while. I would go back just for that next time! I would also recommend the pulled pork beans and frozen custard. All-round great food!

I booked a week in advance and when we got there we walked right through the main floor of the restaurant and we were escorted to a small room that was an extension of the restaurant which felt like a tiny canteen/cafe to me… I appreciate that it was busy but I think because it is such a contrast to the main restaurant itself it would have been courteous for this to be acknowledged when we were being seated by our waitress, but nothing was said. Just before the main meal came out we did actually end up asking if we could move to the main part of the restaurant and they did look which was appreciated but they only had seating at the chef’s food bench and we wanted to be seated at a table. Either way the food was very much worth the trip and I would definitely visit again.

The size of the portions where great and the food was as close to American BBQ as you can get.
If you have not been I definitely go….and if you have been then I guess you should go again
