Very friendly. Quiet when I went but it is April. Lovely lakes to walk around and lots of birds. Nice breakfast. Peace was a bit broken by the guy mowing the field but he has to do it at some point. The only complaint I have is that I had to press the button in the shower approximately every 10 seconds for the water to keep coming out but that’s not enough to remove a whole star!
I saw a water vole swimming in one of the lakes!
I stayed on my way up to and back from Yorkshire for a family visit and will stay again next time.

A nice site, although it has a few things that would make it even better. Showers need drain on tiled floor or mop left out as get really muddy and slippery. Possibly another washing up sink and some lights around there as not level ground and slight step. Bit of a trip hazard in the dark
2023- wood by loos could do with a reflective strip or glow in dark paint. It’s pitch black and slow going walk in pouring rain

Good range of different pitches for motorhome, caravan or tent, plus a great place to walk or picnic round the two fishing lakes

I wouldn’t recommend this place!
This campsite was so loud and full of children and dogs from all directions…
The customer service from the owner was awful, he was rude and dismissive to our concerns.
They make the rules up as they feel on the day, there is no clear policy on cancellations or refunds.
