This is an unusual historic home, as you can only see it with the guide, who is absolutely brilliant – his knowledge and passion for the history of the home shines through. l came away feeling like I had been part of an ‘experience’ rather than just a visit to an historic home with a guide.

The house itself was very interesting, visited by Jane Austen and Queen Victoria. The grounds were huge too, although I did not explore them fully, as arrived a little later than planned, owing to a longer stay at Kenilworth Castle. I managed to catch the last tour of the day at 3.00pm, which lasted an hour, so be careful not to arrive too late and miss out on a visit!

I just booked a tour, but you could pay extra for a cream tea or just have a cream tea, which judging by the room serving the teas was very popular. Three others on our tour had enjoyed the cream tea before joining the tour party and said it was always very enjoyable and special, and something they treated themselv...

Used a voucher for afternoon tea and access to the grounds for 2 people. It was a lovely way to celebrate my birthday. The weather wasn’t great but we had a nice walk across the river Avon and through the woods. We added a tour of the house, which lasted 1 hour and we paid £8 each. This was well worth it. The tour guide was so interesting and informative. Some really interesting history of the building and the families that lived there. The afternoon tea was filling and I felt full for rest of the day. 4 triangle sandwiches, stone with jam and clotted cream, and a slice of cake (carrot, lemon or chocolate). Lovely friendly staff throughout. This is a hidden gem as we only live 30 min away and would definitely visit again.

We went here for a walk around the grounds and a cream tea. It was an awesome experience and the new tea room in the vaulted ceiling room added loads of atmosphere to the event. The sandwiches and scones were great and very tasty but the cake absolutely blew them out of the park. Fresh tasty and light, absolutely delicious. Staff were all fantastic which helped make it a special day.
Next time it will be good to join a tour of the house.
Really good value for money and a terrific event.

Visited Stoneleigh Abbey for afternoon tea. I had been a few years ago and was impressed and once again I was impressed. The sandwich selection was nice and the scones are to die for! And the coffee and walnut cake was divine. We received amazing service from the staff. I will definitely not be leaving it so long to visit again ☕️

Stoneleigh Abbey is a historical house and garden as well. It includes the tour guide talking about the house. It has a posh cafe and they want the place to be clean as they use to wear overshoes blue bags. The cafe is very posh, you could book a cafe. Also there is a free car park. Worth a visit.
