Showing 5 reviews Rating:2 The pay to play lounge or, harshly, the poor person’s lounge where you get in for £30 (I’m guessing the sum). Great for the people but not so if you’re flying business and want something quiet and relaxing from the throngs of shouty tourists in the terminal. It’s a very busy place, not at all quiet, in no way relaxing.

Rating:3 The lounge itself is OK, the food and drink is OK but not much variety and what is here runs out quickly.

Rating:5 A nice way to start your trip, especially when the rest of the airport is so busy. The food is nice and very filling. Will certainly be coming back next time I travel.

Rating:5 Spent a little over an hour here before our flight to Istanbul. Lovely ambience, sufficient seating, good choice of tasty food and above all, very courteous, polite and helpful staff. The lounge got really busy within half an hour of our being there. The staff ensured everyone had seating, and food was quickly replenished.

Rating:4 It is a well serviced lounge, with many seats, good atmosphere, good drinks. The only issue was the food, no many options and was running out very quickly.

The food is great and service is passably ok, but the atmosphere is the worst I’ve experienced in a lounge. It’s unfortunately the partner lounge for SAUDIA flying from Birmingham.
So I wouldn’t upgrade for the lounge. If you’re hungry, do drop in, if not I would skip it and enjoy the exuberant, loutishness of departure lounge compared to the busy canteen of the No 1 lounge.

It’s the staff I have an issue with mainly the girl on the front desk and the girl who shows you to your seat, both very rude with the I really don’t care attitude.
Very annoying when people are paying good money for a service it should be with at least a smile and a little bit of professionalism.

My son had purchased lounge pass for us without realising that we had access from the airline. The girl at the reception was very helpful in helping us apply for a refund after scanning our boarding passes. If staff at all lounges were equally helpful and cheerful, travel will be so much more pleasant. Look forward to visiting when in Birmingham next.
