Showing 5 reviews Rating:1 The Budget Car Rental reps at the pick-up counter in Birmingham Airport lied to us that the rental did not cover third party liabilities. The only way to include that was to buy a package from Budget that included CDW cover. The package cost us 129.42 GBP. We later found out that “third party liabilities cover is provided with the vehicle as standard”. That was in a document they emailed us after the pickup. CDW coverage from Budget was unnecessary as we had already bought that from American Express.

We lodged a complaint to Budget to refund the 129.42 GBP but got no response.
This is in response to Gabriel’s reply on May 27.
In my above review, “third party” clearly indicates “third party liabilities”, which, in car rentals, are damages to entities other than the vehicle or driver/passengers of the vehicle (such as another vehicle or someone’s property). Gabriel/Budget Care Rental’s response, did not address that but talked about something different: “third party cover”, as in ...

This time they didn’t had any car left to hire
So i booked through Budget Car hire company i have got email to check in for booking with your driving licence and payment card on 19/5/2024
i have tried to check-in 3-4 times but it got cancelled from their website .then i went to Budget car Rental Birmingham airport to pick up my car
But they refused to give me car Because of different Address on my Driving Licence its my working address on Licence and i have moved recently to new address …
Enterprise Rental never had this issue
