Straight forward rental process, they do hold a higher deposit of £1205 so just be more careful when you receive and drive the car, but in return you get a pretty decent rental price. Fred has been very friendly and helpful when returning the car, explained explicitly to my questions.

0 You have already voted! Rating:5 Have rented from this branch for the past 2 years and most recently took a car for two weeks. I’ve never had any issues with the cars, or the staff. They do block a rather large deposit, but I’ve never had any issues getting it back. Highly recommend them!

We were given excellent service by Fred upon our arrival. And on the day of our returning the car we were assisted by Jalal, another excellent green motion employee.

Told on car return that Card Retention normally sorted in 7 to 10 days.
UPDATE – The card retention was removed just 24 hours after the return of the car. Excellent service all round.

I did a simple 1 day hire online with CARJET which cost about £27, I also took the extra fully comp insurance which took it to £55.
I arrived at Green Motion (Birmingham International) to collect the car. Firstly they needed a credit card for the £1205 deposit, which they told me would be released upon return of the vehicle. Alternatively, if I paid a one off fee of £39, I would be able to reduce the deposit to £400. I reused to pay the extra as it was making the cost of the car hire more and more expensive as I had already paid extra for additional mileage which I might incur.
Although I had taken the fully comp insurance option with CARJET, I was told that as they are the third party I would have to forfeit my £1205 deposit and claim it back through CARJET which would be a lengthy process should I have an accident!
Being a retired woman on my own, I was made to feel intimidated and quite honestly I felt so frightened to be driving this car away ...
