The service at Mrs Chew’s has always been great.

I would recommend the bbq chicken and the spicy chicken soup noodle, as they are both flavoursome and hearty. Good portion too.

    The food is also halal!

Food is clearly just store bought pre cooked frozen stuff. Meat isnt even finished cooking. Noodles and rice is nice but not restaurant worthy. Service was nice – amicable people.

The customer service we received upon entering the establishment was truly exceptional. The waiter promptly attended to my family and me, ensuring that we were seated promptly.

I was not too impressed with the food to be honest it was standard nothing amazing and the presentation was just food on a plate.

It is worth noting that the prices were understandably higher due to the central location of the restaurant. Additionally, a service charge was included.

Very good service, I had my own problem with how I like the beans being cooked and they were very prompt and well mannered in sorting the issue. Dim sum was juicy and tasty, and the honeyed beef with jasmine rice was full of flavour. Would come here again to try the rest of the menu

When you hear this name, you would think it would be an actual authentic Chinese woman’s kitchen however I am slightly unsure it is. Then again, as a non-native, there is a shred of doubt I could be wrong.

Located conveniently in the middle of Grand Central, on top of the busiest station outside London, New Street, it is easily accessible by the various commuters, the working lunch crowd as well as the shoppers in the vicinity. Nestled amongst other competitor eateries, it does stand out with its red décor and USP of authentic halal Chinese food. You will find ping pong rackets/paddles/bats (depending which part of the world you are from) hanging at top which must signal their superb prowess and domination in the sport.

It is one of the very few places I have come across that serve halal duck (which I had before and doesn’t taste too bad).

Finding myself in Birmingham which could be my last lunch in the City Centre prior to Ramadan commencing, out of the many options, I opted for Mr...
