Rating:1 Do not buy from Bensons for Beds, whatever you do. Visited the Solihull branch to buy a mattress we’d had before, as the quality was good. Sales process was fine, and even got a discount. Then it was all downhill from there.

Rating:5 Had to wait ages for the bed. A couple of months and when it arrived it wouldn’t go up the stairs. The delivery men were wonderful. They tried and tried and we were thinking it would have to be returned bit they wouldn’t give up. They got tools from the van and took the bed to pieces, took it up the stairs, reassembled it and fitted the headboard. All above and beyond what they should have done. So kind. And the bed is really, really comfy.

Rating:5 The lady who conducted the sale was very helpful. Full of knowledge about the bed and mattress range and was really friendly to our children who were a bit lively! Ordering process was quick with good delivery times. I would recommend Bensons over their competitor a few doors down as the staff took time out to help us. The competitor ignored us and lost out on a £2k sale.

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with those who couldn’t seem to get their act together when it came to delivery dates. It was like playing a frustrating game of musical chairs with my order. They have changed the delivery dates twice and still no information about the final delivery date(Third time).
I am still concerned about the product quality!

The purchase was fine, ok showroom, left to decide in your own time.
It all went massively down hill after the order, (of a wardrobe) so initially we were told about 8 weeks for delivery, a bit disappointing but it’s common at the moment so fine. 8 weeks came around, delivery turned up, the wardrobe was snapped in half. We had to decline the delivery and were told someone would be in touch with us.
Weeks later I get a text (Not a call like you’d expect) saying it’ll be delivered in another 8 weeks time?!
I spoke to them and said I was half minded to cancel it, they didn’t seem bothered and weren’t apologetic at the fact we’d had such disappointing service so far.
I spoke to them the next day and said I’d decided to keep the order and so would accept the delivery date offered, they said unfortunately the next delivery slot they now had was an additional 3 weeks back?! Very infuriating.

Booked a day off work for the delivery, received the text and was waiting with an empty bed frame for the new mattress. New mattress did not arrive, no call, no text, nothing. Then finally, a call from a random mobile number, telling me it won’t be delivered that day.
Reorganised for a different day (I had to call them, not the other way around), waited again, and guess what? No delivery, no call, nothing. Dreadful.
Was told they’d get in touch when I followed up, then nothing for several days. Eventually got a text message with a new date over a month away, on a day we weren’t available.
Had enough by this point, so called the Solihull branch for a refund. Was fobbed off three times waiting for the manager, eventually got back in touch ...

I should mention the shop staff too. Very attentive and helpful. Not at all pushy. Helped me find the perfect bed for me.
