Some of the teachers are the worst and act rude around students but there are a few nice teachers. There some teachers that have favourites and care for them the most then put the rest of the class on easier work. There’s the weird teachers and the best teacher,Mrs Hodkinson, she loves everyone and teaches amazingly , she has fun with the students whilst doing the work. That’s the type of teacher that I really want for every lesson.

This school can afford laptops for every student but not glue sticks or basic class equipment, doesn’t even make sense. Most annoying part about this school is how they keep getting outstanding in inspections. Behaviour here is not even good. Then there’s teachers telling us to be good on the days of inspection . There’s so much more to this school, good and bad, but too much to explain. I have made good friends but that doesn’t change anything…

We have just been for parents evening. The teachers and pupils on duty were very helpful and polite. The school is impressive and our son has flourished here. Would definitely recommend it.

I have a very mixed opinion of Shireland.

I never had any problems with most teachers; I just did the work they prescribed and stayed quiet when they were talking, got on pretty well. A few teachers will always be ‘special’ exceptions, but there isn’t much helping that. To counterbalance this, there are a few brilliant, caring teachers that show that they truly care about your development and success in education. (Shout out to Mrs Kang, Mr Lindo, Mr Samad Mohammad (even if he legit never answers emails for A-Level Maths students lol), Miss Hayes, Mr Mattu, Mr Mehmood, (the other Chemistry teacher from the Philippines, forgot her name lol), Mr Uddin, Mr Turnbull (left) and the streetlight-sized Mr Banks. You guys were the best teachers I think I’m ever going to have had).

A lot of the reviews seem to complain about the lunch lines, and while I completely agree in that it used to be a nightmare, it’s not as horrific now as it used to be. (Currently in their Sixth Form, so I’m not sure...

Okay so this school is really bad. They say it is an outstanding school and I 100% disagree. Mainly because of students behaviour (I understand that’s not a good reason but the teachers should be doing something about this and not just leaving it) and the teachers there. I’ve been in this school for not too long, so I can’t really judge however this was my experience.

People have been calling me names so I tell my teacher. She says she will ‘sort it out’ when all she did was leave it there. I don’t really gaf about the people that call me names but the teachers always say they will sort it out so I told her directly and she says she will sort it out and she leaves it.

I feel like the teachers are too strict. Eating in class is a rule that you cannot break, but why? What has eating class got to do with education? Maybe we didn’t have breakfast, maybe if we eat a small amount of food, it will make us concentrate better. They make it sound so ea...
