First of all, this school is good with pushing students to do their best, and overall lessons are good. The building is great too. However, I find this school doesn’t really care much for its students and since coming to this school my mental health has worsened. Other problems such as bullying aren’t dealt with well enough in my opinion, plus I find most of the ‘mentors’ brush problems off and don’t do anything about them. Some teachers are ok and understanding, whilst others are mean and overly strict. Sometimes I feel like we’re expected to be like robots, and it’s hard to have downtime at home with as much as (in my experience) 4-5 pieces of homework received in only one day. With my upcoming GCSE’s, I need to focus on revision, my health and also having time to socialise and relax but I find this difficult with how much I’m expected to do. Personally, I would not recommend this school to anyone, as there is a lot of pressure put on students with little to no emotional/mental help ...

the food was just greasy and probably made me gain loads of weight because now im obese. anyway all the teachers are okayish. Miss adams was my fave and mr sargeant too. and miss malhi is a great teacher. mr wilkes was great and understanding. but the school was literally just bullying and mentors who did nothing about it. i can safely say i was at this school when my mental health started to decline.

I am an ex pupil of the school, however after the arrival of new head teacher the school has drastically changed (negatively) am willing to answer and questions you may have and have many reasons why the school has changed. I would highly recommend not sending children here look for an alternative school

All my children went to this school and I have to say that I would not recommend anyone to send their children here. I had incidents involving bullying which the school did nothing about even after numerous meetings then after four years of school work problems with one of my children they suddenly decided my child was dixlexic with eye problems. This diognosis may have helped had it been discovered when it should have (ie at least 3 years earlier)

Not bad, but not great. You learn lots of things in St. Michaels and nice building but there are a few bad things about the school. First of all, the food is overpriced and greasy. Then there are some idiots that go to the school as they litter everywhere and they drop bottles of water on you when they are on the top stairs and you’re on the bottom or middle. Then there’s too much students so sometimes its over crowded when you go to your lesson. And also there are some bike posts by the reception but one of the head of years said to put it in the bike shed. And some of the teachers if they don’t know you if they have advantage become cheeky to you. Good classes, great building, bad students and so-so teachers. I would think twice before rating it five stars.
