Showing 5 reviews Rating:3 I remember many years ago there was a big thing over it being lit up at night, it didn’t improve it much but stood out a lot more. For a long time I’ve slowly seen all that disappear. It needs work doing on it again to restore its lighting but Sandwell don’t like to spend unless their brothers can make some money.

Rating:5 Historic clock tower named after the first Mayor of West Bromwich Reuben Farley. Red brick and terracotta. It’s close to Dudley Street Guns Village Tram Stop. Can also be seen from the no 74 bus between Dudley and Birmingham when it passes through West Bromwich.

Rating:5 This monument is one of my favourite ! Which is just magnificent, with loads of parking spaces for shopping, along the High Street, plus everybody should visit the local Sandwell Central library on the high street. Which is another beautiful looking building.

Rating:5 A wonderful view of the sunset taken 50metres away from the clock tower, by the way the time was 9pm.

Rating:3 Clock tower. 1897 by Edward Pincher with relief panels by Albert Hopkins. Red brick and terra cotta. Square plan. The base has a continuous inscription below a moulded string: “This tower was erected in recognition of the public services of Alderman Reuben Farley JP”. On three sides there are relief panels of the Town Hall, Oak House and Reuben Farley. On the east side there is a doorway with round head and moulded decoration. The upper stages of the tower have clasping buttresses terminating in octagonal pinnacles. Above the clock stage and below a cornice are three open arches on each side. The tower is surmounted by an openwork dome with finial and weather vane.
