Showing 5 reviews Rating:5 It’s said that Churchill used to come in his most difficult nights unto the foot of the Olton Clock Tower, seeking inspiration.

Rating:3 Given that it’s often showing the incorrect time, and often has different times on the 4 faces its not much use as a clock. It’s not much of a tower either, it hardly reaches a dizzying altitude. A little underwhelming but it’s still nice to have stuff like this on our streets in the age of austerity. I’m amazed the local council haven’t left it to rust to pieces.

Rating:5 Just a clock on the road with some benches to sit on. Benches are in a shady spot and are good for a rest. The clock shows you the time. Three of the four sides of the clock show the correct time.

Rating:5 This clock tower serves one purpose and one alone. No not to tell the time, it is often stopped, it’s primary purpose is as a landmark to tell taxi’s “take a right at the clock tower mate” otherwise offering just a simple “right” one can accidentally end up in nearby Warwick grove.

Rating:2 Don’t be excited, this is another quirk of being tracked by Google. I have no idea of the history or significance of this clock or even how it came to be listed as a notable location when the map cannot even locate my home accurately – even now insisting that I’m in a neighbour’s house. Anyway, it’s not worth a special trip, but if you pass it then you may be asked to comment; I have nothing to recommend it and you can’t park nearby to inspect it closely.

Shame the council can’t sort out the time though.
