Ideal for short stay airport run or nec trip. Not much around 10 minutes drive to solihull. 5 minute drive to international train station and airport. 5 minute drive to resorts world. Wouldnt recommend walking.

I would not recommend this hotel for the price and definitely do not recommend it if you stay longer than a few days. You can get better hotels for only a little bit more money closer to Birmingham.
The location was alright. If you need to go to the airport after checking out, it is very close. Also there was a bus stop where the x1 stopped, which drives to the Birmingham city center.
The bathroom could’ve been cleaner. There was mold on the wall. The bedroom was not very clean either. Odd stains on the curtains and the surface of the table next to the bed was not clean.
The windows were very thin, so the noise of the big main road right next to the hotel was really bad. Also the bed was uncomfortable.

Getting into the hotel is tricky: you can’t get in from the A45, so directions to get in would have been useful as part of the booking process. We asked for a quiet room but were given one which fronted onto the A45. We were in the annexe, in a room which had been newly decorated: it still smelt of fresh paint and the carpet was brand new. The room decor was very basic (e.g., no bedside tables, no hangers in the wardrobe) but you get what you pay for and it was absolutely fine for a pre-flying stopover. As there were two of us, we would have preferred to have two mugs and two glasses, rather than one of each. There was enough coffee and tea and it was good that there was shower gel provided, along with the handsoap. Checkout comprises leaving your key in the room so is extremely quick and completely in your own hands: very useful for catching a flight. We’d happily stay here again.

Summary: Good place if you want a roof over your head for a night.

Very confusing place when you enter as it is connected to the restaurant. I ended going to the restaurant only to be directed to another building which was short walk. There I was given the keys and had to walk back to the restaurant building and up the stairs on the side of it.

The room I was in seems like it is really only suited for a one person stay. In my case maintenance could have been better. I did use the shower so I cannot comment on it. Checking out was a bit of a pain as I had to leave to be on time for something only to find no staff available for a while.

Would I stay here again? For that price if I was on my own then yes. However I do acknowledge that it may not be everyone’s cup of tea and I am somewhat an easy person to please. I want to give it it 4/5 but from an objective perspective, a solid 3 will do as there is no option for 3.5.
