Stayed here for one night for £89. The hotel itself is lovely. However, afew things lets it down at the moment.

On arrival, we were warned that some rooms were awaiting to be or are being renovated. The ground floor looks stunning, and the function room (see pictures) is stunning.

We were based on the first floor , and our king room was well equipped with the basics like tea, coffee facilities, hair dryer, and fresh towels. The first thing I noticed was the large stain under the radiator, which didn’t phase us. Then the main light in the room refused to work so we had to use the bedside lights. In the bathroom (see pictures), the toilet brush was broken. However, the shower was perfect!!!

All in all , it’s not a bad hotel and we enjoyed our stay. It’s local to the town, takeaways and west park. Yes, I definitely would stay again.

This place has genuinely gave me some sort of ptsd. I was placed here as a matter of emergency as my home was targeted in a nearby attack. Im not one to usally complain I grew up relatively poor and a roof is a roof but this took the biscuit. There was blood on virtually every surface from the local bagheads they house. It stressed me out so bad mentally I just cant get the images out my head. The 2nd night I was there things just got too much to the point id walked out my room and just sat on the stairs to collect my thoughts from a days worth of music booming through the place. I used the banister to help myself back up as im heavily pregnant and there was someone elses blood all over my hands there was no hot water the heating was never turned on no soap no loo roll no clean towels just blood on every surface pubes in the kids bed seen better accommodation on trainspotting. My partner told the manager there was a loose stone on the steps and someone could easily sue. He went on t...

    Propper shocking.

Room needs one hell of a deep clean,
It advertises a restaurant. But it’s not in use.
Doors slamming all night keeps you awake, sounds like bombs going off.
Staff very rude a day unhelpfull.

    DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

W.T.F. Words fail me. Sometimes you read reviews and think ‘oh it can’t be that bad’ or ‘thats it bit unfair’. No, here those 1 star reviews are all true. Yes, it is going through a refurbishment which appears to of been going on for 5 months, but the smell of paint isn’t strong enough to hide the smell of drugs in the corridors. Cleaning in the rooms seems optional as does the state of sheets and pillows. Seriously, do yourself a favour and look elsewhere. Do not stay at this ‘hotel’!

Staff at the front desk were very helpful. The halls and rooms are a little dated but it was to be expected. The one thing that ruined it was the two silverfish running across our bathroom floor. Everything else was fine. Location is good, service is good, just the rooms have stained walls, damp smells in the bathrooms and silverfish running rampant.
