Showing 5 reviews Rating:3 Hotel Room was clean and tidy as per normal, hotel reception great friendly. Now down to the gym, The blonde lady on reception lovely and a tall lady said she was new sorted me out a towel and was also constantly cleaning both a credit to the gym. The bad points the men’s changing rooms the smell of drains made me gag, the life guard on duty man with glasses was on his phone constantly he didn’t even look up for the time I was in the hot tub. He looks like he really didn’t want to be there. Overall not what I have come to expect from a village hotel.

Thank you to Abbie for her help and friendly smile around the pool and leisure facilities. She was amazing with our children. During dinner Sean and Shannon were such a great team attending to our every need and running a really tight ship. Great atmosphere, lovely food. Will definitely be returning

While the staff at the Village Hotel Solihull were friendly and the restaurant experience was exceptional (see my separate review), my room was unfortunately a completely different story.
Upon entering, I was met with a disappointing sight. The shower head was covered in black mould, and the handheld shower head barely functioned. Dust and cobwebs were clearly visible throughout the room, and the venetian blind did not tilt or operate properly, with the child safety clip also broken. This rendered the blind useless for controlling light.
With the broken blind, the room was bathed in an eerie, half-lit state, offering neither the privacy of darkness nor the brightness needed to work comfortably. It felt more like a forgotten storeroom than a welcoming hotel room.
