Panchuli is an attractive restaurant. Service was efficient if not overly friendly. Food was a big disappointment. Chef’s specials Railway Mutton Curry and Goan Chicken Xacuti both seemed to use the same brown sauce. The Xacuti had a little chilli heat but otherwise both dishes were very bland. The Xacuti had only 6 small pieces of chicken. The pilau rice was the worst I’ve ever had – big congealed lumps of flavourless rice and not made with basmati. The naan was good. The restaurant added a 10% service charge to the bill.

The food is excellent, visited a few times and it’s been consistently good! Great mid-week offer and good service. Downstairs seating area looks a little tired but it doesn’t detract from the food! Highly recommended!

Had a lovely meal there. We have eaten here many times on previous visits to Solihull. Decided to go with several starters instead of main meals. Good sized portions and very tasty.

Located quite central in Solihull and visited based on feedback while visiting Solihull. As an Indian visiting an Indian restaurant was quite average.

As an Indian restaurant the people were too cold, and felt very unwelcoming. Very general courtesy was missing, no greetings or smile on anyone’s face to start. They forgot to lit the candle on the table, the dessert bowl was broken. I was the first guest in the evening, still was asked to wait to see if they had table available. In 1 hour I was in the restaurant, there were 2 family who visited the first floor, the rest if the restaurant was empty, so pretending they have a busy restaurant with many reservations, hmmm….

Coming to food, it was average, nothing special just a regular Indian restaurant serving Indian food. The matka kulfi was the best, but don’t go with the pictures on the menu where it is loaded with Pistachios, I literally had just 1 Pistachio, literally 1 in the bowl.

Pleasant restaurant, staff were nice some not very clear when speaking but certainly friendly and welcoming. We had a dish with Chili and Garlic Paneer and also a Masala which were well executed and tasty. Peshwari Nann bread was drizzled in honey which was a sticky experience but very tasty. Onion Bhajis were nice, could have done with some mint yogurt. Drinks wise the Pepsi had no fiz but all else good. Price was very reasonable. Atmosphere was empty when we arrived but soon filled up, decor is nice but some areas need a bit of love. All in all a pleasant experience
