Apr. ’23. Previous attempts to book here have been unsuccessful, due to being too busy, so, first visit.
We managed to take the last parking space at the rear. This place is still popular, and the available parking is insufficient. The hygiene ratings are the highest, and we found it very clean as soon as we walked through the door. we were shown to our table immediately. Plenty of staff. We were surprised to learn the previous owners had left over a year ago, but this didn’t detract from the experience.
On to the food! Popadoms, Chicken Pakora, and Garlic Mushrooms to start, followed by Lamb Tikka, Chicken Tikka, with sides of Vegetable Curry and Chips, (which were more like French Fries, but the wife preferred them anyway). All washed down with Cobra Lager. Everything was perfectly delicious. Around £72 altogether. Not the cheapest, but recommended if you want to treat that “Someone Special”.
I knocked the atmosphere down by one star as I found it too noisy on...

Exceptional food and service here. The quality of ingredients used doesn’t go unnoticed.

Parking at the rear is a little bit tight, but for the location it’s pretty adequate.

The interior is modern, clean and spacious. A number of booths and bigger tables are available, so great for gatherings. Or you can sit at the rear if you’re looking for something a little more private.

    Highly recommend.

Had a takeaway tonight. Enjoyed the food very much, as always. Love the chicken chat and chicken saag. Been coming here for years. Always used to be known for a warm welcome, less so now, at least for takeaway. The service was abrupt and definitely not warm, glad the food was though.

Unfortunately we didn’t have a great night here.
From the time we sat down all seemed very rushed, as if they wanted our table for diners coming in later. I doubt it as it was quiet on our Friday night visit, I guess down to the England v USA game.
Despite a lobby with a heater, our seats near the door caught a cold draught from being left open. We did ask if they could just push it to but it was soon open again.
Even with fewer people than usual it was quite noisy, made worse by competition from their rather unpleasant music.
We shared an onion bhaji starter which was very enjoyable, and well presented. All was set fair for the mains but surprisingly these were a disappointment.
They also arrived a bit too soon despite us asking for a short break.
The wife’s dish was far too oily and thin in taste as a result.
My pathia was OK, excellent chicken tikka but not quite hot enough for my taste. The sides were fine but nothing more than your usual.
    We didn’t bother with de...

Really, really enjoyed thw food here! I had a prawn puri for starters and a pistachio king prawn curry for my main, which they made especially hot for me when I asked. Quite a sweet curry which is nice, and then the heat from the chilli cuts through so well! I would have given 5 stars because the staff are so friendly and welcoming… but there were a few mess ups with the orders and had to re-ask for certain meals… but I could forgive all of that. The main reason I’m knocking a star off is due to the wet towels they give out at the end… unsure of why, but after using them, all of our hands smelt really bad – like damp/ mould. Wasn’t great… but like I say, the food and the service were really good and I would absolutely go back!
