This market run by the WI is superb, and I would highly recommend you take a visit. Opens at 10 am on Fridays only. Get in the queue and wait to be given a small clipboard and pen. Go around the market in a clockwise direction. There are homemade cards, knitwear, jewellery, etc. Then, a section for plants, flowers, and the piece de resistance, in my opinion, is the home baked section. Pies, flans, bread, cakes, etc. are all lovingly made to raise money for local charities by the big-hearted women of the WI. Once you choose your items, your clipboard is duly marked up, meaning you do not part with any money on route, which makes the system run like clockwork. Then, head to the till and pay by cash or card. Grab a hot drink at the kitchen hatch and sit at a table, scoff one of the pastries you’ve just bought and get charting to a local. What a fabulous way to spend a morning. The ladies are totally in the 21st century and have a mailing system that, if you sign up, you can order t...

A friendly weekly market serving the local community. A great selection of home made produce, and lots of crafts and artwork if you are looking for special gifts. Also good for plants and flowers that won’t break the bank. Plus a good place for a coffee and a chat with friends on a Friday morning!

Imagine having a country fair, with traditionally baked cakes, savories, jams, pickles, hand made craft goods and garden produce every week, and not just once a year such as a summer fete.

Your weekly summer fete, with a real village atmosphere.

Plenty of lovely home cook food and home baked treats. You can also place orders for many of the food or bakes! Many local artists who can personalise your gifts & cards and offer the unique craft for a special occasion.

A great local country market offering a range of home cooked foods, wonderful cakes and other baked goodies as well as lots of handmade crafts. There’s a really good selection of beautifully created knitted items, turned wooden bowls, aprons, bags and handmade jewellery. My daughter and I visited recently and bought a gorgeous lemon drizzle cake and some lovely greeting cards. I highly recommend a visit.
