Great place to visit, we visited on a weekday and there were 3 groups of school children but the place is large enough so didn’t affect our enjoyment or waiting times. This is also the set for some of the canal scenes in peaky blinders. Staff were dressed up to imitate the 40,s and 50,s era. Had chips from Hobbs chip shop which were lovely and finished off with a tour on a canal to the underground caves which was good. Lots to see and do here, we spent 5 hours here and the admission price of £25.95 per full paying adult covers you to come back again free within a year.

Great day out for all the family. Enough to keep children of all ages entertained and educated at the same time. Give yourself at least 4 hours to cover everything. Plenty of spaces around to eat a picnic, get some famous real chips or a cob from one of the two pubs.
Fairground is great to distract the kids and well priced (£2.50 per ride).

The museum was fantastic! The staff were excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the teacher and the musician. It was very educational, with people in each area explaining the history. We even watched some amusing arguments between the butcher and the cinema manager, which were hilarious. The cute cinema, lovely fish and chips that could be eaten at the pub, and the charming sweet shop were highlights. We also took a bus ride and enjoyed the playground. Our ticket allows us to visit again within the year, so we’ll definitely be back.

Wow, this place really was amazing and exceeded all of my expectations. The scale, attention to detail and professionalism of all the staff (especially those in character) was amazing. The museum is large and well laid out. Although large, it is entirely accessible and there are even buses from the 1950’s to take you around should you wish. The shops were amazing also. Overall, I cannot recommend this enough, it really is a great place for anyone!

I recently visited the Black Country Museum in Dudley, Birmingham UK with my family friends, and it was an extraordinary experience! This museum truly transports you back in time with its authentic olden age British shops and knowledgeable staff dressed in period attire. From fascinating old films to interactive experiences like brick-kilns, coal miners, ship building and school lessons, every corner of the museum is filled with history and charm.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the passionate staff members who went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Mr. Kevin at the chemist was incredibly sweet, providing us with insightful information and engaging conversation. Mrs. Miriam, the anchor maker’s wife, and Mr. Griffith, the school teacher, brought history to life with their humor and enthusiasm and also the old gentleman in the hardware shop.
I must also commend them all for their warmth and hospitality.

Overall, I can’t recommend the Black Countr...
