And Chirs, our fantastic guide today, made the experience of museum visiting come to an unexpected memory. Even though I know nothing about the British and Birmingham history, he helped me travel back—so much thanks.

It was absolutely fascinating, and gave us a real insight into the history of the ‘City of 1000 Trades’ as well as into the cultural history around the rites and rituals of death and dying. Highly recommended!

Our guide Mark was very kind and had many fun facts about the factory itself but also about the town which made the visit a very nice overview of what was Birmingham during the industrial revolution.
The people in the museum and the gift shop were all lovely and we really enjoyed our time there.
I can’t recommend it enough to visit this museum as you’ll learn a lot about Birmingham’s industries and all the interesting things about this factory.
