Good parking area as the woods parking is part of the nearby park. Affordable prices (£2 for 4 hours).
The woods are quite nice, but the infrastructure around it is very badly maintained. The fences are all worn out or destroyed, and the indication poles are very aged.
One big disadvantage for this forest is the highway that splits the forest almost in two parts, and it doesn’t matter how deep you go, there is still a highway noise…

A nice part of Sandwell Valley to go for a walk in. It’s spoilt a little by the M5 running right through it, but it’s still a great place for a nature walk. There’s wildlife to spot, and areas to sit and relax. Main areas are the Ice House Pool, Cascade Pool, and the historic Priory Ruins.

Nice place, only ruined by the noise off M5 motorway.
