Showing 5 reviews Rating:5 So fun, I saw a deer and rabbits. There was a forest that you could go to if you went a bit deeper.

Rating:2 Been wet lately but, as said by other reviewer, definitely wellies rather than walking boots. Bit like walking in a field really, constant motorway noise, not worth it unless you’re just walking your dog from a local road. I got to it across M42 footbridge via Cotheridge Close but I think there is foot access from the other side…

Rating:4 Only visited twice to birdwatch but will go back. First time was in summer on a sunday afternoon. Don’t bother, way too many people and unleashed dogs about. Went back the other day (early Jan) and was very quiet. Wellies required as very boggy in places.

Rating:4 Nice nature reserve with meadows and woodland. The River Blythe runs through it, and in springtime there’s lot of bluebells. If it wasn’t for the noise from the M42 and railway, I would give it 5 stars 🙂

I didn’t explore all of it, but I know it’s quite big and I was scared to get lost so turned back – I went by myself in the forest though and it was a bit scary so probably bring someone with you.
I went in April and it was very muddy in most areas so probably bring hiking boots, or something that can withstand very deep mud. However once you are in the forest it’s mostly fine.
There’s no fee or anything.
Just watch out for the golf course, you don’t want to go on there and get told off or worse, a ball flies at you.
