What great fun. A real dining experience. Food was excellent and we had the wine package which was also good. Our hostess was brilliant too. This was something I’d done for my birthday and at the end was presented with a delicious birthday cake. I’d definitely go again

We had an exceptional dining experience at Le Petit Chef in Hyatt Regency Birmingham celebrating my husband’s birthday. The menu showcased a delightful variety, from the flavourful seafood bouillabaisse to the exquisite lobster risotto. The buffalo mozzarella caprese salad was a refreshing starter, and the beef featherblade was cooked to perfection. The crème brûlée was a delightful conclusion to a fantastic meal. The hostess, Aleeza, was attentive and contributed to the overall positive ambiance. The animated food preparation added an entertaining touch, making it a memorable culinary experience.

This evening was booked for me as a surprise. I had mentioned this to my partner before and he remembered. When we arrived we were greeted by lovely staff who told us our table would be ready shortly. As we took our seats our waitress explained what would happen and to enjoy the experience. Each course was presented well and it was exciting to see how the video matched the meal. I enjoyed every course and had a wonderful surprise at the end of the meal. An anniversary cake which was delicious.

Great fun and good food. Let Petit Chef himself is a very entertaining character that the kids loved. Perhaps a little too long an experience for younger kids (and the children’s main course is HUGE). Other than that, the only potential negative is that everyone gets the same show projected to your table, based on the classic menu – there’s no change for children or vegetarians, though to be fair the website does state this. Wine pairing is also pretty good value.

The le petit chef experience at the Hyatt Birmingham was amazing! What a great and different fun way to enjoy your dinner! Not sure why the reviews here are negative, just go on Tripadvisor to see the positive ones!
Malaika – you absolute star of a host/service employee.
The atmosphere was lovely, the animations were adorable and hilarious! I really enjoyed the food, it didn’t feel rushed and really appreciated that they swapped the beef option for chicken due to diet restrictions. Absolutely loved the seafood courses, the only thing I would say was the lobster was slightly over cooked but other than that – it was good!! You’re paying for the experience primarily – and it’s worth it! Lovely and efficient staff, Malaika was a superb and personable host. The anniversary cake at the end was the cherry on top! Love the hotel decor too! High recommend 🙂
