Rating:1 Cancelled my valuation review an hour before the appt by sending an email that I luckily happened to see ..reason 4 cancellation “diodn’t think it was needed” apparently they had done an online review but then stated they had low confidence in it?? Poor service , unprofessional and plain rude…

0 You have already voted! Rating:1 Do not use this company – we have had our card details passed to a credit company without our permission who are now going to take £1800 from our account. Property has been on market 10 months, had no viewings and no communication from them since last June. They have now given up even trying to sell it. Please don’t make the same mistake that we have.

You can be in direct contact with buyers accepting viewings and negotiating offers. Especially being able to do viewings yourself is great as you will know your property better than any estate agent.
CONS
The average person doesn’t sell properties that often and if you DIY it you won’t benefit from any of the experience an estate agent has, which makes you vulnerable to a variety of pitfalls. In a buoyant market advertising on Rightmove is surely enough, but in a difficult market you can really benefit from the extra legwork a good estate agent can put in trying to generate more viewings for your property with their emailing lists and trying to “upsell” buyers on extra viewings. There is also the issue that Purplebricks really do have long telephone queues at times, 15-20 minutes.

I engaged with them with high hopes, given their commitment to providing a 24/7 messaging platform with immediate responses. However, what I experienced was a complete and utter letdown.
From day one, communication was a nightmare. Promised calls from their team members never materialized. When I attempted to contact them, it felt like screaming into a void. The responses were vague and often entirely absent.
I had to persistently chase them to get any kind of answer, and even then, those answers were far from satisfactory. It took them more than a month to address my concerns, and even then, the issues were not resolved.

I initially got Purple Bricks to sell my flat in May, but there were issues from the start:
– they put the wrong price on my advert
– they messed up the sales board placement
– they cancelled multiple viewings without giving any reasons
– the two viewings I did get, neither had a mortgage-in-principle to meet the minimum offer price, and then said the advert error (their error) was the issue, but they refused to admit fault
– they failed to properly market the property
– they failed to send through my service agreement (and are still withholding it)
I put in an official complaint that they promise to reply to in 3 days (it’s now been 11 and nothing), and the only way to get any communication is through Twitter.
The viewing agent still hasn’t returned my keys either.
They are taking zero responsibility for their multitude of failures, and their only answer to selling my flat is to drop the price (which is already £10...
