Showing 5 reviews Rating:4 My child enjoys skating here, and there are lessons. However, it’s better just to find a coach and pay for.lessons.wjth them, the achievements from.planet ice, are.not recognised nationally. Which felt like a waste of money.

Rating:3 We went to visit the ice skating and my mum fell on the ice really bad and hurt her knee workers didn’t ask if she was okay or done anything about it and the ice skates rub your feet I had 2 blisters on both of my feet. Wouldn’t recommend this place unless you want to get hurt.

The toilets are very tasty but.plenty.of them, the hire boots are aweful.
There is a Papa John’s, that now offers.a bigger selection. I order and take.it to the seating by the rink, since the.language from the staff in the kitchen, is not acceptable around children.
There are some.good offers on, such as skate camps, but they don’t go beyond.a certain level

The staff are friendly, there is a papa Johns in the facility in case you are hungry and need extra energy and overall a nice rink until it needs to be Re-iced.
The only reason I give this 4 stars is due to the speakers in the stadium. They are not the best and sometimes they don’t even play music while you skate. In addition when i tried to get into skating the rentals here did suck and I never had hope in them which lead to buying my own hockey skates.
Overall, if you want to get into ice skating, it’s a good place to start.
Update: This place has came a second home now. I try and skate at least 2/3 times a month because i am a very busy guy. However, a lot of improvements and fails have been made on this ice.

Parking near by with reasonable parking rates for a town centre attraction.
Good food outlets at Planet Ice, including a papa John’s pizza. Nearby there there are a variety of pubs and restaurants and also within walking distance of the shopping centre.
