Showing 5 reviews Rating:2 Visited for a dinner having received a virgin voucher consisting of only a set menu with a limited choices of starters main no dessert. It was really poor menu food wasn’t great at all, even the normal menu didn’t add much. Price tag to be seated by the windows…. Discretionary service charge which was applied anyway not sure for what.

0 You have already voted! Rating:3 Sunday afternoon treat. Nice atmosphere, slightly bemused at the disorganised bar when waiting for cocktail. Lovely waitress. Toilets not to the standard I would expect. Overall ok but could do better.

0 You have already voted! Rating:2 Positives: the staff member who served us was nice and kind. The views from the restaurant are also lovely, but not really worth paying £5 for imo. The fries were very nice and crunchy.

It loses points because I was charged for a window seat, but did not know there would be a charge (I would have paid anyway, so not a huge deal). However, I was disappointed that they were out of roast lamb and had no draft beers. Despite these issues I would still recommend.

The service from the waitresses top notch really good.
Toilets in worse state for such a restaurant would expect more.

Negatives: this place is trying to appeal to customers who want a premium dining experience, however there is nothing premium here. As other comments have said: the place is in need of a refurb: chair have torn leather and looks very dated, steak knife are dull, the quality of the plates/ glasses is poor, the choice of plates for serving food and the size of the table don’t match, very cramped eating experience. The food was an absolute joke, poorly served steak just thrown on a platter, with raw vine tomatoes, the steak was not cooked evenly – some bits very raw and others very done (we asked for medium rare). The steak we wanted originally was out of stock so we had to go for this option, it was very fatty. We asked for blue cheese sauce, the thimble of sauce we received was split/curdled ̵...

I had calamari for starters and tempura prawns for mains with onion rings and both were excellent, as was the service
