Would give 0 stars if it allowed you. By far the WORST train station i have ever visited, looks like a haunted train station from some scary movie it needs to fixed up. No lifts for wheelchair or people with prams so you have to go up the narrow stairs. No other way out. Will never be travelling from and to this train station Avoid at all costs unless your travelling alone. The most dirty train station ever.

I had to use this train station as an emergency into the city centre with my 3 year old and 6 month old (in a pushchair). The ticket office was closed, which wasn’t as issue as they issue Permits to travel. I was surprised to see that there are no ramps, lifts etc only stairs!! If you’re in a wheelchair, struggle with stairs or have young children in a pushchair – this train station is a no go. Train into Birmingham City Centre was fast, but wasn’t impressed with this station at all.

It’s not the best but gets you to town quick trains hourly around 28 past to new street and around 48 past to Birmingham airport. The ticket place is mostly closed and the ticket machine doesn’t take cash and sometimes isn’t working.

What a pathetic station this is. The shelter was leaking in the rain, no step free access whatsoever, minimal seating, one train an hour and a ticket machine which doesn’t accept cash. If you want step free access, use Duddeston, which also has a more frequent service.
