Rating:5 Very convenient from old student house in Selly Oak. Perfect to go home south, Fiveways/Broad Street, or down to New Street. If I needed to, there was even a stop to get off at University. Unlike University, I did find I would have to get to New Street inorder to get a cross country train to Bristol or Plymouth. Train fair to the centre was very cheap as a first year in Oct ’18 – £1.60 each way.

Rating:5 Although it is a very small station with one platform for each side, trains do not take long to come as it is in a very busy area where couple of hospitals around it as well as colleges and student resident accommodation.

Rating:1 Couldn’t travel today no one was at the desk, it was closed, you cant buy 2 week off peak pass from the machine’s, so I had to fork out extra money, I rang customer service guy sounded like a nice enough bloke ,I ask him the reason for it being closed, he said “staff shortage” well done london Midland. Absolutely useless,I feel empathetic towards the disabled passengers when they have to put up with this

Rating:5 Very busy and popular station. Platforms and Toilets are clean. Plenty of ticket machines if you don’t have enquires that require speaking with staff with a nice little shop for your last minute snack although they do cost more then what you’d pay elsewhere

Times and services were always pretty reliable. Although I always brought a ticket in advance on the app; gates were often up.
Latest train back from the centre was around Midnight.
Very convenient to and from the University, QEH, and shopping in Selly Oak.
