From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a grand and airy concourse bustling with activity. The station’s layout is intuitive, making navigation easy even for first-time visitors. The multitude of shops, cafes, and eateries offer a variety of options to grab a quick bite or indulge in some shopping while waiting for your train. The staff here are always helpful and approachable, ensuring a pleasant travel experience. With excellent connectivity to various destinations and frequent train services, Birmingham New Street is undeniably one of the finest railway stations in the country. Whether you’re commuting or traveling for leisure, this station sets the standard for convenience and comfort. Highly recommended

0 You have already voted! Rating:5 With this station, you have the advantage of it being within the Grand Central complex with lots of shops and food stalls under one roof. Obviously the biggest attraction is Ozzy, a legacy and legend from the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games. There are quite a few different exits and platforms so do allow extra time for finding your way around.

0 You have already voted! Rating:5 This is a great train station and the best one I’ve been to in England. This is a modern train station with a large, spacious central atrium. There’s a large mechanical bull inside that moves every 15 minutes, which is pretty cool. There’s an M&S, takeaway Japanese food place, California style burrito restaurant, Vietnamese restaurant, and several other restaurants here, making the station feel more like a mall. The station is easy to navigate and is split into sections by colors. Departure boards indicate what platform of what color section each train is in. There’s a baggage storage area where you can temperature store suitcases for a small fee, which is what I did. I gave this train station five stars because it has several amenities, a beautiful design, it’s easy to navigate, and because it has a giant bull inside. This is definitely the best train station I’ve been to in England and one of the best in the world.

Train arrival/departure times are all clearly displayed and easy to understand.
Taxis/underground/toilets all clearly signposted and easy to navigate too. Not much to dislike to be honest.
