Such a lovely bunch of staff especially Amelia the nurse and Fillip the vet, very caring and professional. Conor the vet is absolutely lovely and was very caring and kind with our nervous dog.

So disorganised. On three consecutive occasions, we had routine vaccinations cancelled. On two of those occasions, they hadn’t even bothered to inform us, so when we got there, we were told we couldn’t have it done.

On one occasion after receiving some treatment and claiming on our pet insurance, they tried to claim some more money, two months later. thankfully, our insurance warned us, And upon scrutiny Blacks vets Said it was for the removal of a bandage, which we didn’t have done.(it is the kind of thing they would like to do though and charge you £43 for the privilege)

We have since left this practice and requested to send over the medical history to our new vets, This of course was a painful experience, they needed chasing, Then proceeded to send the information to the wrong email address (So they claim)

I’ve never known anything like it.

We got an appointment immediately same day , all staff from reception staff to nurses & Mr Thakerie . Honey was looked after with such care & given instant pain releif to make her comfy for Mr Thakerie to examine her leg / foot , then booked in for in morning xray & kept updated by vet himself . Everything was explained thouroughly too . Thanku all the team at Black’s Vet’s in Sedgley , giving us confidence to leave our lite girl in very safe hand’s

Worst vets, I’ve had the misfortune of using.
My poor dog was passing away in my arms while I was in reception. Initially, the reception staff tried to get rid of us as they stated the vet was busy. I was adamant that someone saw him as he was registered there. Reluctantly, they looked at him, then tried to get me to keep him there for a thousand pound a daycare, although my poor baby was suffering terribly.
I knew my boy and urged them to put him to sleep as he had clearly suffered irreversible trauma cause by heart failure.
I chose to have him cremated. During the time i was in the vets, I was extremely upset and understandably devastated. No sympathy or compassion was offered ,it took 6 weeks for me to get my darling boy back, as initially they couldn’t locate him.
Both me and my beloved chihuahua were treated like a transaction, I understand that they have a bisuness to run, but vetanarian surgeries are dealing with peoples beloved pets/family members and in return own...

This is my regular branch, but I recently reviewed the Dudley Hospital too. We were back today for the cat’s yearly booster and vet check up, and as with the hospital, another brilliant experience. She hates going to the vet but they are always so kind and calming. Today we saw Dr Gubbins who was great as ever. If you are looking for a kind and attentive vet then look no further than Black’s. They also have a healthy pet club which covers your annual vet check and six monthly nurse check, plus monthly flea treatments and worming every six months. I’d highly recommend them.
