Showing 5 reviews Rating:1 Really poor here today. Paid £30 for 1x kids and 1x adult meal. We waited 30min for our food to come out- wouldn’t be too bad in a normal restaurant but this food is literally just sitting under a heat lamp waiting to be scooped up. The food was basic, not particularly tasty. The environment is dark and depressing. Would definitely bring a picnic next time!

0 You have already voted! Rating:1 Truly dire. A soviet era canteen would offer better choice than this place. We visited on a very quiet day but this was the only cafe open so not much choice. Hardly any food items actually available. We had to wait ages for one of the food items which arrived after everyone else had finished eating. The slush is basically hard ice, undrinkable.

0 You have already voted! Rating:1 Awful! I paid £5.10 for a mocha that was more like boiled brown water…I asked for a replacement which was just as bad! No cake available as the restaurant is too busy (this is lunch time) but photos show otherwise (empty room). Very unclean too but staff members were fairly pleasant.

0 You have already voted! Rating:1 Very slow to serve and very expensive. The ‘smoked hotdog’ is not smoked I dont think. Either take your own food or you have lots of choices in the Castlegate Park on the other side of the road.

0 You have already voted! Rating:1 Visited today and it will definitely be the last time. We ordered 2 meals, (pizza and chips, Steak pasty and chips). After waiting 50 minutes for our food, I went to see how much longer it would be and was told 5 more minutes. After waiting another 15 minutes I went up again to be told they hadn’t got any pasties left so had to choose something else.

Jacket potato had a black section inside so unable to eat all of it. Staff completely useless and the only one who seemed to be actually doing any work was the poor girl at the counter, the male staff were all flapping around doing nothing and making her do everything.
The queue was so long I saw people giving up and walking out.
Also no recycle facilities available so hardly eco friendly.
This cafe has always been poor, I can’t understand why service and food is so bad here, it gets worse every year-needs better management.

They was 5 members of staff working so not sure why it took so long.
