    What started out with terrible customer service from one branch member in Shipley this morning “you know who you are!” Was quickly taken over professionally by Nicola sorting out three urgent transactions for me, she was polite professional and didn’t rush me!

    Incident brought to the attention of Leigh the manager whom I’ve experienced excellent customer service from her in the past as was today, and want to let her know the bad customer service from a member of her staff hasn’t put me off banking with Virgin Money!

    I needed a face to face appointment to sort out some business affairs. This is the nearest branch to where I live but not local to me. I didn’t make an appointment beforehand but turned up hoping that I could be seen. It was refreshing to see the bank so well-used. I had a short wait before I was attended to. The service was warm, professional and empathetic. Whilst i was sitting a number of people came in and out to make transactions. Someone was out on the floor interacting and helping customers, where needed. There were lots of friendly exchanges and I could see that for some of the customers, this was part of a positive ‘local high street experience’. It was a really positive experience for me.     Really disappointed with the service at this branch for the 2nd time this year! Told to go to branch by telephone service to open a savings account for my 16 year old. When I got there with my son they had nobody there to deal with it and had to make an appointment for another day. Haven’t even got a branch in my town as been closed down so having to drive some distance to do these things. Earlier on this year took my son to open a standard account and when he came to start using his card they hadn’t activated it! Yet another trip back to this out of the way branch to sort it as couldn’t be done online! Will be using the Skipton branch in future…really poor service!

    Went in for a loan with somebody was told to sit and wait, sat for 20 mins, then she came back and said this has to be done online,
    Unbelievable service!
    Luckily this gentleman helped us set up a online account, a loan was applied for aswell.
    Since the name change the service is terrible and the applications and speed are diabolical ..my bank are nothing like this, but this bank are horrendous.
    The loan was approved instantly but the funds are??
    Then its ringing and ringing to chase them…unbelievable!!!

    Well first can I say how very helpful Naheela was at helping us sort out things today very friendly and empathetic toward us
    But Im so shocked to hear that you have to bring your own laptop into the bank if you need help to sort anything out What if you have a learning Disability, Or you cant use a computer? There is there no help.?Are you not discriminating ??
    We have been at Yorkshire Bank for over 50 years And always found that they go out of there way to help .
    Virgin Money need to address your customers service Because
    What I saw and heard there is no help for customers who really need it
