Showing 5 reviews Rating:1 We attended a wedding at this venue last weekend. Unfortunately, we had an awful experience and would not recommend anyone to have a day time function here (12-4pm).

0 You have already voted! Rating:1 The manager and one of his staff was very rude to us they actually made my guess feel unimportant, at a point where we had more guess than expected. We had males and females that were sat separately but because we had far more guest than we invited they asked us to get the females to sit with the male guests but because we refused they had our guest standing around for 15 minutes before they finally agreed to put extra tables out (we were even willing to pay)

Imtiaz and rumaisa have been exceptional today with helping me with the kids and just in general, they definitely deserve a pay rise ! Thank you once again for the great service. Will be sure to recommend.

0 You have already voted! Rating:5 White Abbey hosted my sisters wedding. The staff were amazing, super attentive and tended to all of our needs. Great bridal suite for privacy and break for bride. Beautiful setting for great pictures and lots of light. Centre pieces were high enough to be able to see each person on the table. Food was great and we were complemented for the uniqueness of the menu options, this was successful as we attended a food tasting. Good amount of parking and access to a lovely prayer room. Would recommend the White Abbey Ballroom for all events.

From getting food thrown at us, waiting an extensive time between courses, being told we were only allowed to have “one more photo”, to practically getting thrown out of the venue BEFORE our allocated time. It ruined what was supposed to be a lovely event.
We have attended plenty of day time functions at other venues and have never experienced the issues mentioned above.
The way the host spoke to guests was out of order and unprofessional. The 1 star is for the lovely waitress who attended our table. She was polite, well mannered and attentive which is something the host completely lacked. Manners cost nothing.
From the replies, it is clear to see they are unwilling to take on any constructive criticism nor are they willing to offer an apology for our experience. Instead, they are being defensive, rude and passive aggr...

Basically we paid for the venue but we were treated as if they were giving it us free of charge. The manager would not put the volume up for the family to enjoy and dance but was rather controlling.
My advice would be to everyone that you spend so much money anyways on a venue then why not spend it on a venue where you can enjoy the services, the environment and atmosphere and most importantly feel special and respected. White Abbey is not cheap and if the manager wants to be rude or disrespectful then he will be regardless, don&...
