Showing 5 reviews Rating:5 Fanwoods is such an amazing facility and resource in Spen Valley. It consists of a camping ground perfect for scouting and guiding camps, as well as a residential centre perfect for Brownie camps.

There is also low ropes and archery, bouldering and lots of other activities available to keep your unit entertained.
So lucky to have Fanwoods locally, have such fond memories of visiting there as a Brownie and a guide as well .

The accomodation is always neat and clean, warm and comfortable and there is lots of room; The kitchen facilities are all you could need with the exception of the oven which is very, very slow.
The lady warden is so very friendly and helpful. She doesn’t bother you but is always willing to help when asked. Nothing at all is any problem and she is a great advert for the place.
We were all very disappointed to hear that she will be leaving in February (2015) and wish her a wonderful and appreciated future.
