Showing 3 reviews Rating:2 I have been using the Spen Valley Greenways for many years and even used them for walking my dogs before they became Greenways. It’s always been lovely for the dogs and owners with peaceful surroundings and lots of wildlife. Unfortunately they are now been used more like racing tracks by cyclists who think they are on the Tour de France. I’ve been shouted at, sworn at and numerous incidents of my dog or myself almost hit by riders who speed along at high speed. My dogs have always been on leads and I am always a responsible owner. Only 2 days ago my dog was almost hit by 2 bikes whilst I was getting his poop up,he was on lead as always. I do believe that everyone should beable to enjoy the Greenways but if you want to do 30 mph you should stick to the roads. Everything could run smoothly if people just consider other users. I keep my dog under control at all times so it’s not difficult for cyclists to let me know when they are approaching behind me and other walkers. ...
