Went as a couple during midweek. Decided to go for the sharing platter. Amazing flavours! The portions were very generous and well balanced with meat, vegetables, rice etc. A couple of bottles of Modelo’s went down perfectly with the meal.
The ‘Tres Leches’ cake is a must for dessert !
Looking forward to a return visit.

Really tasty Burrito. The chef and guessing owner was so friendly. Let me try his Cerviche, which was delish. Will be back in the evening to try the evening menu. We are sooooo lucky to have Mexican food made by a Mexican in little Horsforth. £5.50 for a chicken burrito. Great price. Will be back!!!!

The best burrito I’ve ever had, can’t wait to try some of their other items. Highly recommend, the only bad thing is that there is a long ish wait time due to how good they are.

Well when we went out for a bite to eat late on Easter Sunday, we were not expecting this treat.

Hooleos (owned by Julio, hence the name) is a casual dine in mexican restaurant that delivers on taste.

We ordered ceviche, mole oaxaquena and tacos al pastor which suprised us at how well they were cooked. We also ordered tamarindo and horchata which was fantastic as well

Mole is a complex sauce which is often hard to make. Now, it has been years since I have had mole oaxaquena and my nostalgia finally gave me a hug tonight trying this food.

If you love mexican food (and I dont mean Chiquitos or Taco Bell), I mean REAL mexican then look no further.

The real highlight was probably Julio himself. The owner was very friendly and chatty, he told us about his life and took great care of us. As it was late and an Easter Sunday he even gave us some free samples (including Carne Asada) to try as he was passionate about his food.

It felt like we were at his home, having a family meal.

    Julio ...

I love Mexican food and have eaten it in Mexico and in California and I was so impressed with the food here. Authentic, delicious, plentiful, inexpensive and just the right amount of heat. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to try it but I will definitely be a regular from now on!
