The place was quiet but we were sat at our table a long time before anybody came to take our order (definitely not express!!) The nachos were a proper disappointment. Served in a small bowl with runny cheese and all the toppings were on the top so the tortilla chips were unfortunately dry underneath. That is why they are better laid out on a plate so that all the toppings can be evenly spread and grated cheese is far better and tastier than runny cheese. The haddock burger was £14 and was overcooked and dry in a small bread bun. The sides of chips and corn cob were fine. The haddock burrito on the other hand was delicious. It had moist fish, rice and veg and was filling and tasty. I added extra hot sauce to give it an extra kick. Came with plain tortilla chips. The staff were mostly very young and inexperienced and needed training in customer service. They asked if we were finished and I said no so she stood ov...

0 You have already voted! Rating:3 Food was fairly nice. Decent portion size and plenty flavour. The chicken did taste a little like it had been cooked in old oil. The sauce masked it up, but the aftertaste was there. Service was attentive, but not very professional.

0 You have already voted! Rating:5 This was my first time coming to Mexi Bean Express, and I’m glad I did, we booked a table for 5. We had a good experience and the food was fantastic and it was Halal. We were fasting and we had our food come out in time of the fast opening and also had dates and water brought to us beforehand to break our fast. Definitely will be coming here again very soon.

I’ve been a couple of times, it seems like during the week it would make a great space for anyone wanting somewhere quiet to do some computer work, and on a weekend it’s a great spot that’s usually buzzing with activity.

My main issue was with the music. Playing songs with many N-words and 30+ f-bombs just isn’t suitable for dining, especially in a family friendly restaurant. It’s definitely put me off returning with my children, for a family meal. I don’t mind the odd word, but when the song is primarily comprised of bad language, it’s just too much. Tables feel cluttered, with no stand for the menus and sombreros, there was barely room for my 1 tray of food. Value was reasonable. I might return, but I won’t be overly eager to do so.

They had high chairs and baby changing facilities, and even provided talc and a few other baby essentials in the changing room which I thought was a fantastic touch. We were offered a spacious booth as we had a buggy with us, and someone talked us through the menu options.
The food was fantastic, and full of flavour. We are definitely going back again!
I only had one small issue and that was that the sign implied that you received 2x tacos, a burrito and a burrito bowl as part of the lunch menu when in fact it is actually a choice, and you can only pick one or those. However, the food was really tasty and so we will still go back.
